Eva Maceková (*1984)
Ilustrátorka a grafička původem ze Slovenska. Vystudovala ateliér ilustrace a grafiky na UMPRUM v Praze. V současnosti tvoří a působí v Praze, přičemž pro její práci je charakteristická různorodost technik: věnuje se jak malbě, tak ilustraci a grafice či ruční práci s textilem. Její bezprostřední rukopis se vyznačuje silnou kresebností a barevností. Vystavovala v řadě českých galerií i v zahraničí. Byla nominována na ceny Czech Grand Design v kategorii Ilustrátorka roku (2018). Je autorkou knih pro děti 12 hodin s Oskarem (2012), která byla oceněna v rámci Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2012 v kategorii Literatura pro děti a mládež, a Prázdniny s Oskarem (2018).
DÍLO: ZAMOTANEC (NÁŠIVKA)
Autorská vyšívaná nášivka, volně inspirovaná dílem Franze Kafky, navazuje na autorčin energický, nostalgický i lehce dekadentní rukopis i oblibu práce s textilem, který vytváří pod značkou EKL. Ve své práci ráda kombinuje různé techniky, včetně sítotisku, airbrushe, či výšivek. Věnuje se ale také malbě nebo dětské ilustraci.

Illustrator and graphic designer from Slovakia. Graduated from the Studio of Illustration and Graphic Design at UMPRUM in Prague. She is currently based in Prague and her work features a variety of techniques: painting, illustration and graphic design as well as handmade textile work. Her direct style is characterised by strong drawing and colour. She has exhibited in many galleries across the Czech Republic and abroad. She is the author of children’s books including 12 Hours with Oscar (2012), which was awarded the 2012 Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year Award in the category of literature for children and young people, and Holidays with Oscar (2018).

Loosely inspired by Franz Kafka’s work, Maceková’s embroidered appliqué has been created in her energetic, nostalgic and slightly decadent signature style. It shows her love of working with textiles, which she creates under the EKL brand. She likes to combine different techniques including screen printing, airbrushing and embroidery.
