Klára Zahrádková
Klára absolvovala studium v Ateliéru ilustrace a grafiky na pražské UMPRUM s roční stáž na UDK Berlin v ateliéru Henninga Wagenbretha a v současnosti je doktorandkou na FaVU v Brně, kde se zabývá japonskými obrazovými knihami pro děti v perspektivě environmentální citlivosti.
Věnuje se ilustraci a grafickému designu, ale také autorské knize a komiksu. Ilustrovala řadu knih, například Slunečnice aneb Rukověť malého zahrádkáře nebo Bezový keř pro nakladatelství Baobab. Byla opakovaně oceněna v soutěžích jako CAIMAJ, Nejkrásnější kniha roku nebo Zlatá stuha s autorskou knihami Kůň a had a Bezový keř byla nominována na ilustrátorku roku Czech Grand Design. Spolu s Alžbětou Zemanovou, Jakubem Plachým a Zuzanou Bramborovou vedou Xao - knihkupectví a galerii v Praze na Krymské ulici, které se zaměřuje na obrazovou knihu, současnou ilustraci a komiks.
Čtyři selfie a ryba jsou originální autorské linoryty vydané v nákladu 100 ks, z toho 20 ručně kolorovaných. Drobné leporelo představuje čtyři výjevy z letního skautského tábora zachycené jako selfie vedoucího výpravy.

Klára Zahrádková graduated from the Studio of Illustration and Graphics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM). During her studies, she completed a one-year internship at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) in the studio of Henning Wagenbreth. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno (FaVU), where her research focuses on Japanese picture books for children from the perspective of environmental sensitivity.
Her practice encompasses illustration and graphic design, as well as artists’ books and comics. She has illustrated numerous books, including Sunflower, or A Young Gardener’s Handbook and Elder Bush for Baobab Publishing. Her work has received several awards and nominations, including recognition in the CAIMAJ competition, The Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year, and the Golden Ribbon Awards. Her artists’ books Horse and Snake and Elder Bush also contributed to her nomination for Illustrator of the Year at the Czech Grand Design Awards. Together with Alžběta Zemanová, Jakub Plachý, and Zuzana Bramborová, she runs Xao, a bookshop and gallery on Krymská Street in Prague dedicated to picture books, contemporary illustration, and comics.
Four Selfies and a Fish consists of original linocuts produced in an edition of 100 copies, including 20 hand-coloured prints. The small accordion book presents four scenes from a summer Scout camp, captured as selfies by the expedition leader.
