Julie Černá
Julie Černá (*2001) je výtvarnice a animátorka pocházející z malého města Strážnice na jižní Moravě. V současné době žije v Praze, kde studuje magisterský program na UMPRUM v Ateliéru animace a filmu. Její debutový krátký film Kámen Osudu měl premiéru na Berlinale 2025. Film vychází z její komiksové trilogie Kámen Osudu, za kterou získala v roce 2022 cenu Muriel za nejlepší studentský komiks. Tato komiksová trilogie byla vydána u Nakladatelství UMPRUM.Během studia Julie také vytvořila čtyři animované videoklipy. Kromě animace se věnuje ilustraci a tvorbě autorských komiksů. Julie se ve své tvorbě zabývá jemnou melancholií, která je skrytá v každém prožitku štěstí a ve svých projektech se vždy inspiruje vlastním životem.
Pro Artmat vytvořila sérii samolepek s názvem: Kámen Osudu na existenciální dovolenéPro Kámen Osudu nastal čas pro odpočinek a proměnu okolí - vydal se na dovolenou u moře. Hotel nenabízí all inclusive stravu, ale výhledy na západ slunce nad vodní hladinou vynahrazují chybějící pocit fyzického i psychického naplnění. Je zde čas na návštěvu sauny, delfinária, nebo jen odpočinek na hotelu u sledování televize. Navíc Kámen není sám - když se mu to hodí, tak si přizve Démona s modrýma očima, koně nebo husokachnu, aby s ním sdíleli chvilkové prožitky štěstí. A pokud štěstí necítí, tak i to je vpořádku - Kámen Osudu ví, že se nemusí nutit být šťastný ani na krásných místech. Přímý sluneční svit dopadající na jeho tělo k příjemným pocitům sice někdy dopomáhá, ale melancholický prožitek při sledování svého okolí je taky relevantní emoce.

Julie Černá (*2001) is a visual artist and animator from the small town of Strážnice in South Moravia. She currently lives in Prague, where she is studying in the master's program at UMPRUM in the Studio of Animation and Film. Her debut short film Kámen Osudu (Stone of Destiny) premiered at Berlinale 2025. The film is based on her comic trilogy Kámen Osudu, for which she received the Muriel Award for Best Student Comic in 2022. The trilogy was published by UMPRUM Publishing.During her studies, Julie also created four animated music videos. In addition to animation, she works in illustration and creates original comics. In her work, Julie explores the subtle melancholy hidden within every experience of happiness, and she always draws inspiration for her projects from her own life.
For Artmat, she created a series of stickers titled: Stone of Destiny on an Existential VacationFor the Stone of Destiny, the time has come to rest and change its surroundings—it has gone on a vacation by the sea. The hotel does not offer an all-inclusive buffet, but the views of sunsets over the water make up for the missing sense of physical and psychological fulfillment. There is time to visit the sauna, the dolphinarium, or simply relax at the hotel while watching television. Moreover, the Stone is not alone—whenever it suits him, he invites along the Blue-Eyed Demon, a horse, or a goose-duck to share fleeting moments of happiness. And if he does not feel happy, that is also perfectly fine—the Stone of Destiny knows it does not have to force itself to be happy, even in beautiful places. Direct sunlight falling onto his body can sometimes help create pleasant feelings, but a melancholic experience while observing one’s surroundings is also a valid emotion.
