Jana vystudovala magisterský obor Arts and Humanities na univerzitě Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design ve skotském Dundee. Věnuje se především ilustraci, tiskařství, malbě a komiksu. V roce 2019 vydala zine Ode to biking a v letošním roce komiks Tomorrowland zabývající se tématem prokrastinace, se kterým se představila v rámci výběru mladých talentů na festivalu ilustrace LUSTR. V současnosti se mimo jiné věnuje přípravě dalšímu autorskému komiksu Förenling.
Tvorba autorky je protkána výrazným rukopisem a barevností, které doplňují témata často spojená se střety ideálů s cynismem společnosti nejen v období dospívání. Světy, které Jana vytváří, dávají divákovi možnost vstoupit do prostoru, ve kterém je možné oprostit se od všudypřítomné racionality světa, kde jsou věci jednoduše trochu jinak. I takový je celoroční přehledový kalendář pro rok 2021, který pro Artmat vytvořila a který připomíná, že občas se v životě nedá vše tak docela naplánovat...

Jana holds a Master's degree in Arts and Humanities from Duncan University of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland. She specializes in illustration, printing, painting and comics. In 2019 she published the zine Ode to biking and this year the comic Tomorrowland dealing with the theme of procrastination, with which she presented herself as part of a selection of young talents at the LUSTR festival of illustration. Currently she is working on her newest comic book Förenling.
The author's work is interwoven with distinctive handwriting and bright colors, which complement themes often associated with clashes of ideals with the cynicism of society not only in adolescence. The worlds that Jana creates give the viewer the opportunity to enter a space in which it is possible to get rid of the ubiquitous rationality of the world, where things are simply a little different. This is also the year-round overview calendar for the year 2021, which she created for Artmat and which reminds us that not everything can be planned in life...
