Ivo Škuta (1989)
Ivo Škuta je malíř, ilustrátor a tatér, podílí se na chodu Kalerie s čupr uměním Saigon v Ostravě. Absolvoval ateliér malby na Fakultě umění v Ostravě. Ve svých dílech divákovi nabízí možnost podívat se na svět nejen kriticky, ale i s nadsázkou, humorem a ironií. Autor používá velmi širokou škálu výtvarných prostředků, pracuje se spreji, strukturami a technikou airbrushe. Je zapáleným kynologem.Tik Tak Tik Tak …Série ilustrací pro kolekci Artmat a Culture for Future nazvaná Tik Tak Tik Tak … se zabývá zobrazováním rozbitých hodinek, kterými reflektuje beznadějnou situaci klimatických změn. Série ilustrací se věnuje kritickému pohledu na problematiku environmentálních témat a prostřednictvím zobrazení rozbitých hodinek vytváří symbolickou metaforu, která reflektuje naše současné postavení vůči této globální výzvě. Rozbité hodinky jsou chápány jako symbol konce, připomínající nevyhnutelnost nepříznivého vývoje událostí, který neodvratitelně směřuje od neblahých důsledků klimatických změn. Zároveň však mohou být také chápány jako symbol času, který nám ještě zbývá, avšak nedostupný k měření, neboť přístroj, kterým byl čas dosud měřen, je nyní nefunkční a rozbitý. Tento koncept zobrazuje existenciální otázky ohledně naší schopnosti ovlivnit a změnit neblahý vývoj klimatických změn a současně vyzývá k reflexi nad tím, jak efektivně využijeme zbývající čas, který máme k dispozici.

Ivo Škuta is a painter, illustrator and tattoo artist, he participates in the running of the Saigon Gallery of Chupr Art in Ostrava. He graduated from the painting studio at the Faculty of Arts in Ostrava. In his works he offers the viewer the opportunity to look at the world not only critically, but also with exaggeration, humor and irony. The author uses a very wide range of artistic means, working with sprays, textures and airbrush techniques. He is an avid cynologist.Tik Tak Tik Tak ...A series of illustrations for Artmat and Culture for Future's collection called Tik Tak Tik Tak ... deals with the depiction of broken watches and in this way reflects the hopeless situation of climate change. This series of illustrations takes a critical look at environmental issues and through the depiction of broken watches creates a symbolic metaphor that reflects our current position in relation to this global challenge. The broken watch is seen as a symbol of the end, reminding us of the inevitability of the unfavorable course of events that is inevitably leading to the unfortunate consequences of climate change. At the same time, however, it can also be seen as a symbol of the time that remains, but is unavailable for measurement because the instrument that has been measuring time is now broken and inoperative. This concept depicts existential questions about our ability to influence and change the unfortunate course of climate change, while inviting reflection on how we make effective use of the remaining time available to us.
