Tereza Sýkorová (1996)
Tereza Sýkorová vystudovala Vysokou školu uměleckoprůmyslovou v Praze, obor Intermédia. Ve své tvorbě se zabývá myšlenkou struktury světa jako propojené nehierarchické sítě. Zajímá
ji vztah civilizace k naší planetě a vliv virtuálního světa na člověka. Ve svém tvůrčím procesu tyto myšlenky vizuálně zkoumá pomocí recyklovaných textilních materiálů a technik. Vytváří sochařské objekty často integrované s dalšími médii, jako je zvuk, fotografie a malba. Toto formální zkoumání je charakteristické experimentováním a má kořeny v samotných materiálech a médiích. Díla mají podobu monumentálních měřítek nebo abstraktních tvarů, které často vrcholí
v prostorových instalacích. Limitované edice cínových sošek a fotografií pro Artmat s názvem "Nothing Exists Alone" volně navazují na autorky dlouhodobé zkoumání tématu vody. Vychází
z citátu spisovatelky, vědkyně a ekoložky Rachel Carson (1907–1964) z její knihy Silent Spring: "Nothing exists alone" Tato citace zdůrazňuje, že naše činy vždy ovlivňují něco dalšího či někoho jiného.Sošky inspirované mořem a neurony představují symboly či amulety, které nám mají připomínat vzájemnou propojenost všech stvoření na naší planetě. Původní objekt vyrobený z látek a nití otiskla autorka do hlíny a následně odlila do cínu. Proces motání, doteky, lití či deformace je pro Terezu klíčovou součástí tvorby a zůstává
z něj trvalý záznam v podobě těchto cínových artefaktů.

Tereza graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Prague, majoring in Intermedia. In her work she deals with the idea of the structure of the world as an interconnected non-hierarchical network. She is interested in the relationship of civilization to our planet and the influence of the virtual world on humans. In her creative process she visually explores these ideas using recycled textile materials and techniques. She creates sculptural objects often integrated with other media such as sound, photography and painting. This formal exploration is characterized by experimentation and is rooted in the materials and media themselves. The works take the form of monumental scales or abstract shapes that often culminate in spatial installations. The limited edition pewter sculptures and photographs for Artmat entitled "Nothing Exists Alone" loosely follow her long-standing exploration of the theme of water. Tereza draw on a quote by writer, scientist and ecologist Rachel Carson (1907-1964) from her book Silent Spring: 'Nothing exists alone' This quote emphasises that our actions always affect something or someone else.The statues inspired by the sea and neurons are symbols or amulets to remind us of the interconnectedness of all creatures on our planet. Tereza imprinted the original object made of fabric and thread into clay and then cast it in pewter. The process of twisting, touching, casting or deforming is a key part of the creation process for Tereza and leaves a lasting record in the form of these pewter artifacts.
